Josh Matthews for Mayor

The Liberal Democrats have selected Josh Matthews, a former councillor and sustainability professional as their candidate for Mayor of Lewisham and Catford South ward.

Josh said, “Lewisham is an incredible community to live and work in, but politics is letting us all down. You can demand better for Lewisham - an ambitious new direction and a properly managed Council.

“A Lib Dem Lewisham can be clean, sustainable, affordable, safe, thriving, and genuinely led by you.”

Josh trained as a chemical engineer and now works professionally on climate change and sustainability. He has also worked in energy, manufacturing, academia, and taught at universities and schools.

Before moving to London, Josh was a Lib Dem City Councillor in Cambridge and the shadow cabinet member for Climate, Environment, and the City Centre.
