Jean Branch

I was born and raised in Lewisham – I went to school in Blackheath – and when it was time to raise my family, I knew this was the place to be.
I spent 15 years in the music and broadcasting industries, eventually running a regional radio station. Since then, I retrained as a complementary health specialist and now work in Blackheath Village.
I have always volunteered – As Chair of Governors at a local primary school, at Ladywell Playtower and for the Brockley Max Festival, but it was my own experience as a carer when my father had Alzheimer’s that brought me into politics.
As a councillor, I want to shine a light on the crisis in social care and fight for a better deal for the most vulnerable.
