Monthly Politics Chat - Lost Boys

A report published by the Centre for Social Justice titled “Lost Boys” findings show  boys aged 16-25 are Falling behind in education, facing precarious employment, struggling with mental health, experiencing higher crime rates and fatherless?



Let’s explore the findings by sharing your thoughts and discuss some search party initiatives to locate the Lost Boys.

Haringey Lib Dems - Annual Dinner 2025

The Haringey Liberal Democrats are delighted to invite you to our 2025 Annual Dinner on Tuesday, 11th November 2025 at the National Liberal Club, 1 Whitehall Place, SW1A 2HE (fully accessible venue)

Featuring Guest Speakers:

Lisa Smart MP, the Liberal Democrat Cabinet Office Spokesperson in the House of Commons and former Spokesperson for the Home Office, and

Baroness Lynne Featherstone, Peer, our former MP and our honorary president.

Our annual dinner isn’t just a great chance to meet fellow Lib Dems and hear from inspiring guests — it’s a vital fundraiser for Haringey. This year, every pound raised will go directly towards our 2026 Council Election campaign, as we push for major gains and a strong Liberal Democrat presence on Haringey Council.

There will be pre-dinner drinks at 7PM, and a choice of two menu options (see below).

If you wish to forgo the 5% booking and card processing fees levied onto us, then please book a "BACs" ticket and send us the required amount using the details provided in your confirmation email.

Join Merton Liberal Democrats for their annual general meeting and evening of political discussion.

The event shall take place on Wednesday 12th November, starting at 7.15pm (with the agenda commencing at 7.30pm) at Merton Arts Space (rear of Wimbledon Library, Wimbledon Hill Road, SW19 7NB). Note: The entrance for the event is on Compton Road.

We are thrilled to announce that former Liberal Democrat leader of Sutton Council and experienced campaigner and election winner Ruth Dombey will be our guest speaker. Ruth will speak on how effective, Liberal Democrat run local government can change resident’s lives and how to campaign to win at local elections.

Wimbledon’s MP, Paul Kohler shall also be speaking, giving his reflections on his first 17 months as our local MP and addressing the essential point – “Why electing Lib Dems matters.”

Anthony Fairclough, leader of the opposition on Merton Council shall take us through our vision for a Liberal Democrat run Merton Council.

There shall be plenty of opportunity to pose questions to Paul, Ruth and Anthony as well as Officers of the Merton Lib Dems Executive.

Liberal Drinks

A regular meet-up on the second Wednesday of every month for Liberal Democrat members, supporters and the Lib Dem curious in the Folkestone and Hythe area!

Simply come along for a social drink and a chat: no speeches, no leaflet delivery. It's a "buy your own" event (sorry!) but come along and say hello to our Councillors, campaigners, members and friends.

The Royal Norfolk Hotel is on Sandgate High Street - there is free parking from 6pm at Castle Road Car Park in Sandgate which is one minute walk away and often on street parking in Castle Road (behind the hotel) as well.
