Emily Frith, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesperson for Lewisham East, had her letter about saving Blackheath's trains printed in the South London Press today.

I was very concerned to see the proposal from the Dept for Transport that Blackheath could lose train services to Charing Cross and Victoria.
Our area of South East London is already poorly served by public transport, aswe are not covered by Transport for London and do not have access to the underground or overground lines.
Forcing our trains to all terminate at Cannon Street would seriously disrupt current commutes, and break the connection to Kings College Hospital.
It would mean more passengers having to pay for additional tube journeys and also increase overcrowding on the remaining line. We have already suffered years of disruption due to the London Bridge redevelopment. This ill thought through proposal must be stopped and I urge fellow residents to respond to the consultation.
