Extend the Ultra Low Emission Zone now!
Air pollution kills about 10,000 people a year in London. Much of the pollution comes from older Diesel engines that emit poisonous gases and nanoparticles.
Sadiq Kahn, Mayor of London, is working to improve the situation by imposing an extra charge on old diesel vehicles which enter the congestion zone in central London - but his plans don't go far enough.
The current proposal to extend the Ultra Low Emission Zone to the north and south Circulars could mean more dirty diesel vehicles coming through Forest Hill, Perry Vale, Catford and Lee.
We need to fight to extend the ULEZ out to the M25 now - so that all of London is protected.
