| Lewisham Central Ward: 181 Bus Update | |

Lib Dem Councillor, Andrew Milton, is a regular user of the 181 bus route and has been pushing for improvements to the route since he was elected in the Autumn of 2003.
Finally, Transport for London have agreed to extend the 225 bus route from the centre of Lewisham so that it follows the 181 route as far as Duncrievie Road and the N171 bus stop on Springbank Road. The bus will then return to Lewisham centre via Torridon Road and Hither Green Lane. It will run between 3 and 4 times an hour. The bad news is that this won't happen until Spring 2006. However, TfL have told Andrew that they haven't ruled out temporarily increasing the frequency of the 181 bus in the meantime.
